In The Outer Worlds 2, you will find a locked war chest that belongs to an acquisitions officer, Kaur. Inside the chest, you will find the rewards, which can vary depending on how many of Kaur’s quests you have completed. To open the chest, you will first need to get her War Chest Key. This guide will walk you through how to get the chest key from Kaur and where to find the chest and collect the rewards.

In The Outer Worlds 2, Kaur’s War Chest is a locked container that can only be opened using Kaur’s War Chest Key. To get the key, you will need the Pickpocketing perk. Once you have the key, you can unlock the chest to get the rewards inside.

To get Kaur’s War Chest Key, first you need to make sure you have unlocked the Pickpocketing perk in the game, and you need to have at least one point in Lockpicking. Once that’s done, reach the marked location. Now you need to sneak up behind the acquisitions officer, Kaur and hold the interact button to steal her belongings. 

Among the items you pickpocket from acquisitions officer Kaur, you will find Kaur’s War Chest Key, which is the one you need. You can also kill her to get the key, but doing so will turn everyone around her hostile, so stealing is the safer way here.

After you get the key, you need to find Kaur’s war chest. Head to the location marked on the map above, near the drop ships. Now use the chest key to unlock the chest. The rewards inside the chest can vary. You can find some credits and some experience inside. Your loot may differ depending on how far you are in the story or how many of Kaur’s quests you have finished till now.
