The Serpent Puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Order of Giants challenges players with a giant serpent-themed water maze that must be solved to move forward. To progress, you’ll need to master the Serpent Wrench, carefully redirecting currents to open grates and unlock the exit. This guide breaks down each step, showing you exactly how to align the water flow and solve the puzzle with ease.
How to Solve the Serpent Puzzle

This challenge throws Indy into a massive water maze with a serpent-shaped mechanism. The puzzle is all about using the Serpent Wrench to guide water through different channels until it powers up the locks. Here’s how you can get through it step by step.

Step 1: Start at the northern circle nearest the waterfall. Slot in the Serpent Wrench and rotate it so the water runs to the right. This opens the very first grate.

Step 2: Move over to the first water hole on the east side. Turn the flow upward, then rotate the channel eastward so the stream drops into the next grate. That unlocks the second gate.

Step 3: Now, use the first hole on the right side of the waterfall and turn its flow south. With that done, place the wrench in the water hole to the west of the waterfall and push the current further west. This opens up the third grate.

Step 4: Take the last hole you used and set it so water runs north and east. That takes care of the final grate.
Final Setup

With all four grates unlocked, the next step is to direct the water into the exit locks. Start by sending the flow from B3 into C3 and B2. From there, guide B2 toward B1 and A2, then let A2 split into A1 and A3.
Next, move the stream from B1 into C1, and then carry it from C1 into C2. Push the water from C2 into D2, then continue down into D4 and finally into E4. After that, direct E4 into D1. Don’t forget to also connect E1 into D1.
On the other side, take the flow from C4 and feed it into both C3 and B4. From B4, send the stream into B5, and finally, from B5, split the current so it reaches A4 and E5.
Once all these paths are set, the streams will align perfectly, activating all four locks and opening the door.
