Ropes play a crucial role in your adventure through PEAK. Whether you are climbing steep cliffs or making your way down dangerous drops, having a rope can make all the difference. Without it, you might find yourself stuck in tricky spots. In this guide, we will show you how to get a rope and use it the right way to keep moving forward on your journey.
How to Get a Rope
In PEAK, ropes are essential tools you will come across during your journey. You will need them to climb up or get down tricky spots. Without a rope, you might end up stuck. Luckily, finding one is easy, they’re usually hidden in treasure chests, luggage, or around campsites.
How to Use a Rope
Using a rope is pretty simple. First, make sure you are standing on solid ground. Then, place an anchor to support the rope. To drop the rope, press and hold the left mouse button on PC or the left trigger on a controller. You or your team can use the rope you place as a shortcut or a backup in case things go wrong. Once you place a rope aid, there’s no way to pick it back up or use it again at least the game doesn’t tell you how.
Keep in mind, you won’t see the rope until you actually start extending it. You also need to adjust the rope’s length to suit your climb. If it’s too loose or too short, it won’t work well. Use your mouse scroll or controller bumpers to adjust the length before placing it. Don’t waste your rope aids they are hard to find and really useful when things get tough. Try to save them for moments when you truly need them, and they’ll make your climb a lot easier.
