In Battlefield 6, you will specialize your class like Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon through Training Paths, allowing you to unlock perks over time as you earn score. Each path also has an Active Ability you can earn as well. Although you aren’t required to always play the style of your Path, it is better to stay in the Path you have chosen as it will allow you to be more effective. At launch, each class will have its two Paths available as a level 20 plus assignment.
Assault Class

To gain access to the Frontliner Training Path, players are required to unlock player rank 20 and complete Assignment: Assault 1. While playing as Assault, players will need to earn 10,000 points and achieve 30 kills with the Adrenaline Injector. Once finished, your squad will tackle Assignment: Assault 2, which requires you to have your squadmates deploy at a Deploy Beacon (now unlocked after Assault 1) and obtain kills or assists on concussed enemies. The Adrenaline Injector’s effects only last for a few seconds, so you will want to plan your attacks carefully, and players can only use a Stun Grenade to concuss enemies until they unlock the M320A1 THRM Grenade Launcher later.
Support Class

To access the Support class’s Fire Support Path, reach player rank 20 and complete Assignment: Support 1. Heal teammates for a total of 5,000 HP and earn 10,000 points while playing Support. Then move on to Assignment: Support 2, which requires performing 200 revives and deploying Deployable Cover 25 times. Healing is part of your natural role, so placing your Supply Bag in busy areas or during firefights will help you quickly reach the goal. Revives are simple with a Defibrillator, and Deployable Cover can be farmed by placing it, picking it up, and repeating the process.
Engineer Class

For the Engineer’s Combat Engineer Path, first reach player rank 20 and complete Assignment: Engineer 1. During this assignment, repair a total of 2,000 HP on vehicles and earn 10,000 points while playing as Engineer. Next, tackle Assignment: Engineer 2, which requires dealing 5,000 damage to ground vehicles using launchers and 2,000 damage with Anti-Vehicle Mines. Conquest mode is ideal for these tasks since most maps feature vehicles. Repairs will happen naturally as you engage in combat, and the MBT-LAW launcher is great for reliably dealing vehicle damage. Mines should be placed at intersections or along roads near objectives, as they persist between respawns.
Recon Class

For the Recon class’s Spec Ops Path, start by reaching player rank 20 and completing Assignment: Recon 1. Spot 250 enemies in objective areas using Recon gadgets and earn 10,000 points while playing as Recon. Then complete Assignment: Recon 2, which requires getting 50 headshots from 150+ meters. Using the Recon Drone in Breakthrough mode is the fastest way to mark enemies for Recon 1, while long-range headshots for Recon 2 require paying attention to bullet drop and aiming slightly above your targets.
