In Hollow Knight: Silksong, Hornet finds a town called Bellhart that’s been taken over by a strange silk curse. This starts the “Save The Threadspun Town” quest. To remove the curse, Hornet needs to go to a nearby area called Shellwood, get a wall-jumping skill, and climb up to the higher parts of Bellhart. In this guide, we will walk you through each step of how to break the Bellhart curse and bring the town back to life.
How to Uncurse Haunted Bellhart for Save The Threadspun Town
When Hornet first arrives in Bellhart, she will get a quest called “The Threadspun Town.” The town is covered in a strange silken curse, and to break it, she needs to head into the next region, Shellwood.

Once you’re in Shellwood, the first thing you should do is find Shakra, who usually hangs out in the lower parts of the area. Buy a map from her. Shellwood is huge, and it’s easy to lose your way. After that, keep moving west until you find a bench near a place called Bone Bottom.
From there, look for the Cling Grip skill, which lets Hornet wall jump, which is important for reaching the higher parts of Bellhart. Once you have it, go east, sticking to the upper paths. If you have rested at the bench, climb up first, then continue east again. Eventually, you will hit a dead end, climb up, wall jump to the right, and you will find the way into the higher floors of Bellhart.

Inside, break the bells that are blocking the path and head in (Hidden Wall – I). These upper floors are a bit like a maze, designed to be tricky, especially for later quests that ask you to collect things like Silver Bells.

Keep going down, but watch out for spikes. Move to the right, drop down again, and then go left into another hole (Hidden Wall – II). You will see two Winged Furms guarding the way; defeat them first. Don’t go all the way through; instead, look for more bells blocking a left path, break them, and go that way. Once you enter the next hole, you’re nearly at the end.
How to Break the Bellhart Curse

Keep going right until you reach an opening where you will meet a character called Widow. A boss fight will begin, and once you beat her, the Bellhart curse will be broken. Hornet also unlocks a new ability called Needolin. Once you wake up, look for a lever nearby and pull it. This will unlock a new bench and also break the curse on Bellhart, freeing the town and its people.
