How to Survive Bloodblight Swamp in Runescape Dragonwilds

In every region, there is unique challenge in RuneScape’s Dragonwilds. Bramblemead Valley and Temple woods are fully settled with lots of wild goblins chasing you for miles. While areas like Fractured Plains and Stormtouched Highlands have their own grueling tests to contend with, Bloodblight Swamp is different- because here, your greatest danger is that rather ominous fog which dangles everywhere around you.

At first, there’s no way to clear the toxic mist that engulfs the swamp. So, what should you do? Should you try to endure the constant damage and push forward, or is there a method to counteract the poison? Here are a few strategies to help you survive the dangers of Bloodblight Swamp in RuneScape’s Dragonwilds.

How to Survive in Bloodblight

When exploring Bloodblight Swamp in RuneScape Dragonwilds, your top priorities should be poison resistance and gear with at least Power Level three. The enemies here are quite challenging, so it’s essential to bring solid mid- to late-game equipment along with a few health potions to keep you going.

Even more crucial, however, are Antipoison potions. Without them, you’ll barely survive a couple of minutes in the swamp unless you’re constantly using health potions. Antipoison potions completely cancel out poison damage, allowing you to move freely through Bloodblight Swamp without taking any damage from the environment. This means you can focus solely on fighting enemies and advancing the storyline or gathering rare ores.

How to Craft Antipoison Potions in RuneScape Dragonwilds

Constructing a Brewing Cauldron

To unlock Antipoison potions in RuneScape Dragonwilds, you’ll first need to construct a brewing cauldron. Here’s what you’ll need to build it:

  • Ash Logs (16)
  • Coarse Thread (6)
  • Rune Essence (10)
  • Clay (6)

By the time you reach this part of the game, all these materials should be easy to collect. Ash Logs, Coarse Thread, and Rune Essence can be found in Bramblemead Valley, while clay is located in the Whispering Swamp.

Crafting Antipoison Potions

Once your brewing cauldron is ready, you can start crafting Antipoison potions. To make one, gather the following ingredients:

  • Bittercap Mushroom
  • Harralander
  • Clay Vessel

All of these can be found in the Whispering Swamp. Bittercap Mushrooms grow as small orange-brown clusters on the ground, and Harralander is a blue and yellow herb. Be sure to gather plenty before heading into Bloodblight Swamp if you want to be well-prepared.

Crafting Clay Vessels and Using Antipoison Potions

The final item you’ll need is a clay vessel, which you can craft using a Pottery Wheel. Simply place clay on the wheel to shape the vessels, then fire them in a Kiln to turn them into hardened clay vessels suitable for potion brewing.

With your Antipoison potions ready, head into Bloodblight Swamp and drink one to gain temporary immunity from the swamp’s poisonous effects. While the potion’s protection only lasts a few minutes, carrying several will allow you to explore freely without worrying about poison damage. Just be cautious—if you die in the swamp, you’ll respawn at your bed and have to brew more potions to make your way back to your Gravestone.
