To start the Puppet Show in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic, you first need to find all the missing parts of Captain Springlock’s suit. After that, there are a few puzzles you will have to solve, like fixing the power, crossing a broken bridge, and using a crane to move walkways. Each step helps you get closer to the main stage. This guide will help you through everything, step by step, so you are ready when the show begins.
How to Start the Puppet Show
To start the puppet show, you need to first complete the Captain Springlock Suit. After that, solve the Power Room Puzzle, the Backstage area Puzzle, and the Cat Walk Puzzle. Once you solve all the puzzles successfully, you can start The Puppet Show Performance.
All Captain Springlock Suit Pieces Location
To complete Captain Springlock’s suit in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic, you will need to explore the workshop and gather all five missing parts: the right arm, right leg, head, left leg, and left arm. Here’s how you can find each one.
1. Captain Springlock’s Right Arm
After finishing up in the assembly area, head out and turn left into the spare parts room. Keep your eyes on the wall, you’ll see Captain Springlock’s right arm hanging there, held up by a bunch of chains. Once you grab it, Arnold won’t be able to run anymore, so take it slow and carefully walk back to the assembly area to attach it to the suit.
2. Captain Springlock’s Right Leg
Next, you’ll want to grab the right leg. Go back into the spare parts room and take a right this time. Walk toward the staircase, and just before reaching it, look to your left you should see the leg sitting there. Pick it up and head straight back to the assembly room to attach it.
3. Captain Springlock’s Head
Go back into the spare parts room and take the stairs on your left to reach the upper level. You’ll spot the head hanging from the ceiling by a chain. Walk over to the lever across the upper platform and crank it to lower the head. Be careful here this action might trigger an animatronic to start chasing you. If that happens, either hide in a nearby locker or use a wind-up mouse toy to distract it. Once it’s safe, go back down and pick up the head from below where you lowered it. Bring it back to the suit and attach it.
4. Captain Springlock’s Left Leg
With the head in place, you’ve got two more parts to go. From the upper level where you found the head, turn right and follow the catwalk. Take the next left and go down into a room with a closed shutter. Use the lever next to it to open it. Before grabbing the left leg, be sure to unlock the caged door in front of you using the second lever beside it. With both doors open, grab the leg and head back to the assembly room to attach it.
5. Captain Springlock’s Left Arm
Finally, for the left arm, return to that same room with the caged door where you just picked up the leg. The left arm is waiting there. Once you’ve got it, carefully make your way back to the assembly area and attach the last piece to complete Captain Springlock’s suit.
That’s it you’ve now fully rebuilt the suit and are ready for whatever comes next. Once you’ve attached all five parts to Captain Springlock’s suit, you’re ready for the final step. From the assembly area, head into the control room just to your left. Inside, you’ll find a terminal interact with it and select the option that says “Energize Springlock.” This will activate the suit, bringing it fully to life.
Head over to the assembly platform and interact with the suit to put it on. Once you’re suited up, step onto the platform across from you, the one with the yellow footprints. It’ll lift you up to the Demonstration Theatre.
From there, make your way through the backstage area. As you turn a corner, a Sharpay animatronic will probably give you a jumpscare. But don’t worry it sees you as another animatronic, so it won’t attack. You’re safe for now. Keep going through the next room until you spot an open vent. Take off the Springlock Suit, then crawl through the vent. This will lead you to the theater’s power room.
Solve the Power Room Puzzle
To solve this puzzle, you will need to rotate the hexagon tiles and create a path that lets the pipes connect to the port in the bottom-left corner. But keep an eye on the timer, if the tank fills up before you finish, the generator will overflow and the puzzle will reset. Try to match the pipe layout shown in the image above. Once you get it right, power will be restored to this part of Murray’s Costume Manor.
Once you’re done in the power room, look for the ramp on the right side. Head up the ramp, then drop down when you can and crawl through the space to get out. Just remember you don’t have your suit on now, so you’re not protected. You’ll need to carefully make your way back to it while avoiding the Sharpay animatronic. Once you’re back in the suit, head to the next platform lift it’s right across from where you came in and ride it up to the next area.
Solve the Backstage area Puzzle
The Backstage area is located just below the theater. You will notice a big hole in the floor. Step out of the Springlock Suit and go through the vent to reach the other side. Turn left and crawl under the debris that’s blocking the stairs. Keep going toward the back, and the lights will suddenly flicker. If you are up for a quick side task, check the nearby filing cabinet labeled “film” to find a Film Reel.
You can take it back to the Inventory machine in the office where you started. To move forward, use the lift in the back-left corner. Upstairs, you will reach a catwalk area. Use the magnetized crane to move the walkway pieces and create a path to cross.
Solve Cat Walk Puzzle
This puzzle is all about creating a bridge using a magnet crane. There are 12 squares in total, but only 4 movable bridge pieces. Your goal is to move and place these 4 pieces on the far right side to form a complete path you can walk across safely. Once the bridge is in place, cross over and head left along the catwalk. You will find a crank connected to a long chain, there is another one just like it on the opposite side. These two cranks are holding up the main bridge in the center of the room.
To make the area accessible for your Springlock Suit, you need to lower that bridge. First, turn both cranks, one on each side of the room. Then, take the nearby lift back down to the lower level and get back into your Springlock Suit. Once you are in, use the suit’s cannon to shoot the chain target holding up the bridge. That will drop it down. Now walk across the lowered bridge and hop onto the Springlock lift just ahead.
The Puppet Show Performance
Now the lift will take you up to the main stage for a puppet show, where you play the role of the Captain. As the show goes on, you will enter different phases where bullseye targets appear. To keep the audience happy, aim for the green targets when they show up. Hitting too many red ones will upset the crowd, and if that happens, a puppet will jumpscare you and it’s game over. Keep playing through this shooting mini-game until everything spirals into chaos.
