How to Start Stories Untold Questline & Dark as a Dungeon Quest Guide in Stalker 2

In Stalker 2, the Stories Untold questline and the follow-up Dark as a Dungeon quest are side missions. Both quests begin with a simple distress call and lead you into dangerous areas filled with enemies and anomalies. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to start each quest and what to expect along the way.

How to Start Stories Untold Questline

To start the Stories Untold quest, you need to first go to the Burnt Forest. After that, spend some time moving around the area and try to listen to any sound; before long, Banzai’s distress signal will be audible. When the communication is received, you will learn that he has been caught and is captured in the Old Mine in the Red Forest area. The distress signal is what starts the quest. Be careful, as there can be anomalies nearby which can deal damage, so always use a detector to find those anomalies.

How to Start Dark as a Dungeon Quest

After hearing Banzai’s distress call, make your way to the Old Mine in the Red Forest to rescue him. Fight the enemies that are present at the mine entrance, guarding it. Once you’re inside, look around the cells until you find Banzai and free him. As soon as you rescue him, the Dark as a Dungeon quest will unlock. After that, you have to turn off the pump in the Old Mine. Then you have to get Banzai’s Drive from the bandits.

From where Banzai is, turn left and follow the rails when you reach the open area turn right and then turn left. Then move forward and then turn right. On the leftside you will find a door. Shoot at the lock to open the door. And then turn off the pump in the mine. Backtrack to find a bandit working on an electrical panel kill him to get the drive.

Banzai is a technician and radio hobbyist from Rostok. He once set up a room full of radio equipment, where he accidentally picked up a signal he wasn’t meant to find. That discovery led him to contact Malachite, which eventually landed him a new job there. He also runs a radio blog and is the creator of the Banzai network.
