In FNAF: Secret of the Mimic, during the Moon.exe section, you’ll face one of the game’s most interesting puzzles in David’s room. How to Solve David’s Room Toy Box Puzzle in Moon.exe
There is a storybook in David’s room that reads, “He bounced the moon, spelt his name in the stars, and ran through the snow with the silent hunter.” This is your clue for what to do with David’s birthday toys. You need to place the correct items into the corresponding toy boxes based on clues from the storybook. Put David’s Toy Ball into the moon chest, place the David Block into the star chest, and put the White Tiger Doll into the snow chest. Once you’ve done that, head into the closet and use the Upgrade Machine one last time. Your Data Diver will get the Glitched Permission upgrade, and from there, you’ll be able to continue toward the end of the game in New Game+.
To obtain the Glitched Permission, complete the bits mini-game at the upgrade station. Just play through the Parachute.exe ending the same way you normally would until you reach the Mimic boss fight inside the mansion. By this point, you should have already faced the Mimic in the old prototype Pizzeria, met Fiona in her computer form, and taken the cart ride to the mansion. When you get to the mansion, ride the elevator to the ground floor and proceed as usual.
