How to Refuel, Repair and Store your bike In Dune Awakening

Exploring the vast desert world of Dune: Awakening needs you to rely on your bike to get around. But just like any tool, your bike needs a bit of care to keep it running smoothly. In this guide, we will walk you through the basics of how to refuel, repair, and safely store your bike.

How to Refuel your bike In Dune Awakening

To refuel your bike, hold the Interact button. This will bring up the Interaction wheel. Look for the gas can icon on the right side of the wheel and select it. Once you do that, the game will automatically use fuel cells in your inventory to refuel your bike.

To refuel your sandbike, you will need to make sure you have fuel cells in your inventory. You can craft this fuel by going to your small chemical refinery. There, you will be able to create either a small or medium vehicle fuel cell. To make these, you will need regular fuel cells, the ones used in your power generator. If you don’t have any on hand, you can take some out of your generator.

For the medium vehicle fuel cell, you will also need 15 units of water. So, make sure you have a water processing plant at your base. Once you have crafted the fuel cell and it’s in your inventory, go back to your bike. You should now be able to refuel it.

If you are still having trouble and the game won’t let you refuel, it might be a bug. Some players have worked around it by using a controller, just plug it in, open the interaction wheel with the controller, and try refueling again.

How to Repair your bike In Dune Awakening

To repair your bike, you will need to use a Welding Torch. First, open the Crafting menu and make some Welding Wire. Once you have that, equip your Welding Torch. Next, switch the torch to Repair mode. To repair it point it toward the parts of your bike that are damaged. When you are ready, press the Fire button to start welding.

How to Store your bike In Dune Awakening

If you leave your Sandbike parked outside your base or safe zone for too long, it will slowly start to wear down on its own. To avoid this kind of passive damage, you will need a handy item called the Vehicle Backup Tool. It basically acts like a storage device for your vehicle, keeping it safe until you need it again.

To use it, just point the backup tool at your Sandbike and press the Fire button. That will store the vehicle inside the tool. When you are ready to use the vehicle again, equip the backup tool, aim your crosshair at a clear spot on the ground, and deploy it.
