How to Recruit Macy in Octopath Traveler 0

Recruiting Macy in Octopath Traveler 0 is a great way to add a healer to your party. She’s an apothecary with a warm personality and a strong dedication to helping the sick. Her quest is short and easy to follow, and once you help her take care of a sick child in Emberglow, she’ll join your adventure team.

How to Recruit Macy

The first thing you’ll want to do is finish the prologue of Octopath Traveler 0 and move into Chapter 1. Once that’s done, your next stop is Emberglow. To get there, start from Wishvale and head south, then gradually work your way east. Soon enough, you’ll reach the small town of Emberglow.

When you arrive, just walk up to the very first building you see and head inside to continue the quest. Macy is there, worried about a sick child and looking for help. After talking to her, head over to the nearby item shop and buy an Herb of Fortification.

Once you have the herb, go to the house where the child is resting. Macy will be there, trying to take care of him. Give her the Herb of Fortification so she can treat the kid. After she sees how much you’ve helped, Macy happily agrees to join your party.

Macy in Octopath Traveler 0

Macy is a travelling apothecary who stops by Emberglow during her journey. She’s usually calm and friendly, but the moment an illness is involved, she becomes incredibly focused. She won’t back down until everyone understands how serious even the smallest sickness can be.

As you level her up, Macy unlocks several support skills. She can make your healing buffs last longer whenever she uses an HP recovery spell, and she eventually gains a big boost to her elemental defence. Later on, she can increase her maximum HP by a huge amount, and she gets better results from healing items during battles. Her ultimate technique, Prism Mist, is especially useful it spreads a random positive buff to every ally, giving your whole team an edge when things get tough.
