How to Recruit Laurana
You can recruit Laurana once you reach Chapter 5, after finishing Kindlers of the Flame Chapter 4. Just head to Flamesgrace, where you will meet her. Help her take down the Emerald Direwolf during the quest, and she will join your team afterward.
To fight the Emerald Direwolf, use Phenn’s Repeated Shot. It removes two shield points at once, making it much easier to break the boss’s shield and deal big damage afterward. As you see purple aura appearing around it, use Repeated Shot to interrupt the move and stun it for a few turns.

Laurana in Octopath Traveler 0
Laurana is a playable character in Octopath Traveler 0. She’s a deacon from Wishvale and grew up helping her grandmother, who was a priestess. Because of this, she knows more about the Sacred Flame than even the priests in Flamesgrace. Laurana has long red hair tied to one side and wears traditional cleric clothing, white and gold robes with cyan accents, a headband, a short cloak, and brown shoes.
She is gentle, kind, and always ready to help others, but she is also quite introverted. Her sheltered upbringing makes her very sensitive to loss. After her hometown was destroyed, she couldn’t bring herself to return, so she wandered far away, trying to escape the pain of what happened.
