Octopath Traveler 0 has Agapea Island as a secret location that can easily be overlooked by many players. Unlike other story areas that require you to complete certain parts of the story before reaching, Agapea Island requires you to obtain a specific item before you can access it. This item allows you to unlock side stories, build the Strange House in Wishvale, and access optional content. In this guide, we will explain how to find Signa’s Journal, remove the fog, and explore the entirety of Agapea Island.
Signa’s Journal

Signa’s Journal, hidden in the Sky of Vanity, the final zone in the last dungeon marks the first step on your way to Agapea. Explore the whole region before seeking Signa’s Journal and fill in the entire mini-map. Collect treasure chests found in the area, activate the two crystals at opposite ends. The journal itself can easily be overlooked due to its lack of glow compared to many other journals in the game. This journal seems like it fits in naturally and appears to be a small rock on a quiet stretch of path, where no one would expect anything to be found. Reading this journal is critical; otherwise, the next chapter of your adventure will not get triggered.
Returning to the Isle of Orsa

You will see a brief animation when you finish reading Signa’s Journal that tells you to return to the Isle of Orsa. The enemies along the routes to this area will be easy for you to defeat at this stage in the game. When you arrive at the shrine, you will descend through a floor opening that connects with an important scene at the end of Chapter 1 in Bestower of All.

By now, you may have noticed a fog-covered island in the Middlesea, located just west of the easternmost island. Once the cutscene at Orsa concludes, the fog clears, giving you access to Agapea’s village. The visit is brief but meaningful. Here, you can explore the village, use Path Actions on NPCs, check out the best store-bought weapons, and collect the Strange Key from a cat to build the Strange House in Wishvale.
