Garden Snails in Grounded 2 might look slow and harmless, but they can be surprisingly tough to deal with if you don’t know how they work. These big shelled creatures have a unique defense mechanism that makes them untouchable for a while, but with the right strategy, you can take them down without too much trouble. In this guide, we’ll show you the easiest way to beat a Garden Snail and what rewards you’ll get for doing it.
How to kill Garden Snail
Snails in Grounded 2 are a bit tricky to deal with at first, but once you understand how they behave, taking them down becomes pretty simple. When you hit a Snail, it immediately pulls its head back into its shell and becomes completely untargetable. You won’t be able to damage it at all while it’s hiding like that. However, there’s a way to lure it back out.
If you move away and give it some space, the Snail will eventually think the danger has passed. It’ll cautiously peek out of its shell, and if it doesn’t see any threats nearby, it’ll fully emerge again. That’s your chance to strike. What’s good is that Snails don’t heal while hiding, so any damage you deal before it hides will stick.
The best way to handle them is to keep your distance and use a bow and arrow. It lets you hit them safely from afar and makes the whole bait-and-attack loop easier. Just hit it once, back off until it comes out, then move in and hit it again. Keep repeating this until the Snail goes down. When you finally defeat one, it’ll drop Garden Snail Slime and Raw Snail Meat both useful items for your crafting and cooking needs.
