In Abiotic Factor, there’s a hidden brain named Kylie that you can find and help by completing a task. Doing this not only lets you keep your promise to her, but also rewards you with a special item that gives you more experience points. In this guide, we’ll show you exactly where to go, what items you need, and how to complete the process.
How to Get the EXP Chip Brain (Kylie) in Abiotic Factor
Before you start this, make sure you’ve already crafted the DisoR device, because you’ll need it at the end. If you haven’t, you’ll need to take down one of those robots to get the required parts. Once you know how to handle them, they’re not too hard. You’ll also need some Reservoir Grow, which you can get by diving underwater and harvesting those glowing plants.
Start at the TRA System
Begin in the TRA system’s main hallway. There’s a pathway you can follow. Just head straight toward the building labeled “Electrical Grid.” Once inside, jump down the shaft. Use a vine or anything else to get down safely if you have a jetpack, even better. When you land, run straight to the end of the hallway.

At the end of the hall, take a right and head into the small duct. Crawl through the narrow space until you drop into another area. Now: dive into the water without a suit and trying not to drown. There’s only one real way forward here. Head through the next doorway. The path to the right is locked for now, so ignore it. You’ll see a shaft ahead go inside.
Meet the Brain
Inside this little room, you’ll meet a strange talking brain. You can chat with it and hear its backstory. There might also be a zombie nearby, so be ready just in case. You can sometimes loot a helmet, a suit, or some money off the body lying in there, too. The brain’s been waiting for someone to finish the neural bridge so it can transfer to hardware. That’s where your DisoR device comes in.
Head out again and dive straight down, moving quickly. You’ll need to swim under some debris and through a doorway. There’s a pipe that leads you even further down. You’ll be low on oxygen, but if you move fast and know where you’re going, you can make it even without a diving suit. Eventually, you’ll reach the final chamber. This is where you’ll install the EXP chip.
Install the Chip and Keep your Promise
Once you’re in, interact with the brain again. If you haven’t already, put the chip in your inventory. You’ll see a prompt below you to repair the neural bridge. Now the brain transfers over, and you get your reward: the DisoR device, which gives you a 10% EXP boost. It’s not labeled very clearly, but it’s 10% across the board. So that’s how you find the brain, install the chip, and get your EXP boost.
