How to Give Water to Cows in Farming Simulator 25

Unlike crops that can rely on rainfall, cows need a steady supply of water. You can use the Water Tank from the shop to transport and refill their water. Make sure to place the water trough near the barn so they always have access to fresh water. Without it, their health and milk production will suffer, which can lower your profits. In this article, we will discuss how to give water to cows in Farming Simulator 25.

How to Give Water to the Cows

Cows will breed automatically once they reach the right age and health, which depends on getting enough food, water, and proper care. By providing quality feed and keeping them hydrated, you’ll be able to grow your herd. Expanding your herd means more milk production and gives you the opportunity to sell extra livestock for profit. To provide water for cows, players can purchase a water tank or cow barns.

How to Give Water to the Cows in Basic Pasture

If you keep your cows in a basic pasture, you’ll need to provide water for them. You can check the water symbol near your cowshed. Look at the right-hand corner shown in the picture above to check how much water is left.

First, go to the store and buy a water tank. In the ‘Animals’ section, look for the tank with a water droplet icon. To find water stations, press ‘M’ to open the map and look for the water tank symbol. Hover over the icon to make sure it’s a water source. Once you’ve found one, drive your tractor with the tank to the designated area, park in the filling zone, and start filling by pressing the indicated button.

After you’ve got your water tank, you’ll need a tractor to tow it. You can find a suitable tractor at the machinery store – a mid-sized one should work well. Next, drive up to an open water source, like a river or lake to fetch water.

You’ll get a prompt to start filling the tank (usually by pressing R, though it may vary depending on your controls). It might take a little while to fill, but the best part is it’s free. It takes a little time to fill the tank, so just wait for it to finish. If you’re looking for a faster option and don’t want to spend time collecting it, you can buy a pre-filled water tank from the store’s “Containers” section. It’s more expensive, though, so it’s usually chosen when you need water quickly and are willing to pay for the convenience.

To start unloading water in the trough. Take the barrel close to the cowshed towards the water symbol. You can start overloading water by pressing ‘I’ and the water will go into the trough. You can see the water draining from the right-hand side corner as well. The water will be transferred to the trough until the tank is empty or the area is full.

How to Give Water to the Cows in Cow Barns

If you have enough money you can buy cow barns which already have water, so you don’t have to give them water. There are four options for raising cows: pastures, barns, cow barn large, and barns with a feeding robot. Cow Pasture costs $75,000, Cow Barn costs $254,000, Cow Barn Large costs $518,500, and Cow Barn with Robot costs $722,500. Remember, with a cow pasture you’ll need to provide both feed and water, whereas the barns only require you to supply feed.
