How to Get Wind Rider in Where Winds Meet

Wind Rider is a useful Lightness skill in Where Winds Meet that makes travelling around the world easy. It lets you glide with the wind, helping you move faster and explore difficult areas with ease. This guide will tell you how to get Wind Rider and the easiest ways to raise your Exploration so that you can unlock the skill early.

    How to Get Wind Rider

You unlock Wind Rider by reaching Exploration Level 6 in Qinghe, which requires 9000 Exploration Points. You can check your progress by opening your Journal and looking at the Exploration Level section on the right side. Even if you unlock a Lightness Skill, you can only use it in a region once you’ve reached the required Exploration Level for that specific area.

Most major factions limit Lightness skills, but as you raise your Exploration Level, you earn special keepsakes that let you use them freely. Wind Rider lets you ride the wind effortlessly, moving with a smooth, weightless flow.

    How to increase Exploration Level

You can earn these points just by exploring the region, completing blue book quests, unlocking fast-travel pillars, picking up curiosities, clearing enemy camps, and even defeating hidden world bosses. Almost everything you do adds to your Discovery total.

    Get XP Simply by Exploring

Because it’s tied to exploration, you’ll earn XP just from exploring. As you move through the world, you’ll find chests, random NPCs, small puzzles, and quick mini-events. You’ll also meet characters along the way. Some will give you quests, but others only offer tiny interactions or mini-games that take a few seconds to complete.

The quickest way to boost your Exploration Points is by activating all the Boundary Stones. Each one gives you 50 points, and most of them can be reached as soon as you start exploring. Plus, unlocking them makes travelling around the region much faster and a lot more convenient.

    Do Exploration Quests

If you want major XP gains, head into your quest log and look for quests specifically marked as “Exploration.”  Even if you’re just travelling from one objective to another, you’ll naturally run into side activities. Doing a handful can easily earn hundreds of XP without much effort.

    Complete Activities

Every time you interact with something, whether it’s a collectable, a puzzle, a chest, or a quick quest, you’ll get exploration XP. On top of that, you’ll also receive extra rewards depending on what you completed. So the exploration XP builds passively.

Decided that degrees were as useful as extra lives in a Mario game-totally unnecessary! I’m diving into the extravagant universe of my favourite game, Assassin’s Creed, which lets me roam the world without actually paying for plane tickets. Hodophile by nature and aspiring to get lost in Hang Sơn Đoòng cave in Vietnam someday!
