How to Get & Use Weird Pictos (Location) – Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

If you picked up all those weird pictos in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 during the Expedition Festival, it most probably happened when you spent a token with Tom. These weird pictos are strange quest items which come with pretty much no explanation of what you’re supposed to do with them. Since you get them right before heading off to The Continent, it’s safe to say you won’t be using them in Lumiere.

That leaves you with a bit of a head-scratcher because you’ve got the whole game ahead of you, but no real clue about what the pictos are for. If you don’t feel like figuring it out on your own, here’s where you can actually use the weird pictos in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and what you’ll get for it.

How to Get Weird Pictos (Location)

You can get the Weird Pictos by trading 1 Token with Tom during the Prologue, right after the Gommage event at the festival on the docks. While the Weird Pictos can’t be equipped or used right away, they come into play later.

How to Use the Weird Pictos in Expedition 33

You won’t be able to do anything with the weird pictos right away in Expedition 33, even though you find them before setting off. You’ll first need to make it to Gestral Village which is not super far, but getting there will take a good chunk of story progression, including making it through the first few areas and defeating a few bosses.

Once you reach Gestral Village (don’t worry, the story will naturally guide you there), head into the bazaar you’ll find on your left. Look for the Gestral Merchant behind the counter, chatting with a customer near the entrance. This is Jujubree, and after you talk to him, he will open up his shop for you to browse.

After you close the shop menu, Jujubree will spot your weird pictos and offer to fix them up for you. This has the ability to boost your Augmented Aim picto by three levels-jumping from level two all the way to level five. Some players have even tried unequipping all their pictos to see if that changes anything, but apparently, it doesn’t. If you don’t have Augmented Aim yet, the upgrade might get applied to a different picto that you own.

Either way, a free three-level boost is a huge win for players. Though, it’s not confirmed if there are more weird pictos hidden elsewhere in the game, but if you happen to find more, definitely bring them back to Jujubree for some easy upgrades.
