Corrupted Oak is a crafting material and is used in more advanced recipes and upgrades. Corrupted Oak is not bloodbound, so it will not be in your inventory after you die. But Corrupted Oak is teleportable, so you can fast travel without carrying it, so transportation becomes easier. This item cannot be salvaged, so once acquired, it’s better kept for crafting. You can stack a maximum of 250 units of Corrupted Oak into one stack, making it easier to store and collect.
How to Get Corrupted Oak In V Rising 1.1

Corrupted Oak is a resource in V Rising that can be commonly found in the Oakveil Woodlands. There are two methods of finding it.
Chopping Down Trees

You can obtain it by cutting down trees in the region or by collecting it as loot. For a simple harvest, cut down corrupted trees using an Axe or Greatsword.
Killing the Corrupted Treant
Corrupted Oak can also be collected by killing the Corrupted Treant. These high-level enemies drop Corrupted Oak as loot when killed, making them a good target for players.
Corrupted Treants are aggressive, high-level creatures located deep inside the Oakveil Woodlands. They look like normal trees at first glance, but they will come out and attack when you approach, so be careful while roaming about in the forest.
These treants are level 80 foes, creatures with heavy-hitting abilities. One of their primary attacks is a sweep in front of them that does major damage and sends enemies back. Being caught in this will severely put you off balance in the fight.
Their second skill, Entangling Roots, is particularly challenging. The Treant stomps the ground and fires three green shockwaves consecutively, each of which is capable of stunning you when it hits. With each wave fired in a slightly different direction, you will have to stay mobile and time your dodges precisely in order not to get hurt.
How to Use Corrupted Oak In V Rising 1.1
Corrupted Oak can be used to craft Planks and Venom Sap at the Advanced Sawmill. Planks are a commonly used resource in V Rising, essential for crafting weapons and constructing a wide range of building structures. Much like Stone Bricks, they form a foundational part of your base and gear progression. To produce one Plank and 4 Venom Sap, you will need 20 Corrupted Oak, or just 15 if you have upgrades.
In order to get Corrupted Oak to Planks, you must use the Advanced Sawmill. This is an improved version of the basic Sawmill that has quicker processing times, a great variety of recipes, and a 12-slot input and output capacity, which makes it a good addition to any castle. You can unlock the Advanced Sawmill by defeating Stravos the Carver.
