How to Get Undead Eye Legendary Class Mod – Borderlands 4

Vex’s bleeding setup in Borderlands 4 is incredibly powerful, but the Undead Eye legendary class mod will give you a genuine, glitch-free option. This mod will let snipers trigger her Blood Shot skill automatically, dealing continuous bleed damage to mobs and bosses alike—even if you don’t have any points in the skill. In this guide, we will give you the farming location, tips on how to beat Vile Lictor, and also share some general tips for using Undead Eye.

Undead Eye Legendary Class Mod Overview

An experienced player with Vex in Borderlands 4 knows how silly her bleed setup is – but there is a genuine alternative that doesn’t depend on exploiting glitches: the Undead Eye legendary class mod.

The Undead Eye mod adjusts Vex’s Blood Shot skill so that you can trigger it automatically with snipers. Every kill (33% on crits) activates Blood Shot. So you get guaranteed bleed damage on bosses and mobs without even spending skill points in Blood Shot. And when you are looking for the mod, be sure to find one that will give you additional sniper damage and/or status effect, as bleed counts as a status.

Where to Find the Undead Eye Legendary Class Mod

To obtain the Undead Eye, you must farm Vile Lictor in the Umbral Foundry in Windspear in Terminus Range. He is the final boss of the Terminus Range chapter. First, you must unlock Terminus Range at the beginning of the campaign mission One Fell Swoop. After that, you can make your way through the snowy areas until you reach the mission His Vile Sanctum and then defeat Vile Lictor.

    How to Beat Vile Lictor

Vile Lictor is a huge two-stage boss full of screen-length attacks and projectile spam. Defeating him relies on damaging his arms to disarm him and attack his core, while watching out for his trademark wall patterns.

    Phase One

At first, focus on his four arms (two on each side). Breaking them exposes his purple core, the only spot that takes real damage. Watch out for:

    • Twin blue barriers: Short, low walls that appear in quick succession, jump over them.
    • Triple violet barricades: Large vertical walls that appear in sets of three, move between them carefully.
    • Rocket punches: His arms launch slow-tracking fist projectiles your way.

Heavy weapons like the Blastpipe series work best here, dealing strong, consistent core damage compared to grenades. Once his energy shield breaks, the fight transitions to Phase Two.

    Phase Two

You’ll be pulled into a new arena where he keeps old moves but adds faster, deadlier ones:

    • Color surge combo: Alternating blue and purple barriers fired rapidly across the arena.
    • Sweeping wall dash: He glides while releasing a line of purple barriers in motion.
    • Arm storm: His detached limbs orbit him, launching a wave of tracking punches.

If you’ve unlocked Glide Pack upgrades from Inceptus and Origo, use them, the stamina boost and recovery make dodging easier. Lictor ’s Fists still spawn occasionally, handy for grabbing a Second Wind when you’re downed.

At 75% health, he charges up a devastating arena-wide blast. Grapple onto the floating platforms that appear to dodge the explosion safely. He’ll repeat this move again at roughly 50% and 25% health, so stay alert.

From there, you can respawn him whenever you’d like with Moxxi’s Big Encore. Be ready for a grind because legendary mods are scarce and the drops for different classes might be abundant. The good news is that Vile Lictor can also drop the Super Soldier shield, which you can hopefully obtain while you’re farming for the Undead Eye legendary mod.

How to Use Undead Eye Legendary Class Mod

Pair Undead Eye with sniper-heavy builds. It’s especially effective with items like the Bod shotgun (yes, it counts as a sniper), the Triple Bypass repkit if you have Blood Shot, and the Kill Shot repkit. Focus on mods that amplify sniper and status damage to make the most of the bleed effects.
