The Ultimate Badge is earned in Peak by way of topping a throw of over 100 meters. This guide takes you from fetching the disc, to locations for making the throw, and some tips ensuring both you and your partner catch it so that you can secure the badge without losing your equipment.
Getting the Ultimate Badge
Most badges in Peak come from performing small tasks while exploring or carrying items through the biome. The Ultimate Badge, on the other hand, is all about one precise throw with the right item.
First, you’ll need a flying disc. The easiest guaranteed place to find one is at the crash site in the Shore biome. Unlike with the compass and Bing Bong, it will not be located inside that wreck. Instead, look on the outside; it would be placed much like binoculars are placed. Since this takes up an inventory slot, you would be wise to finish the challenge soon after acquiring it.
Landing the 100m Throw
The challenge requires you to throw the disc at least 100 meters. You can attempt this anywhere, but large, flat areas like the mesa or early tropical zones are the most forgiving. Avoid cliffs or narrow ledges so you don’t lose the disc if someone misses the catch.
There’s no distance tracker, so you’ll need to judge the gap yourself. Stand far apart, aim at your partner, hold Q to charge your throw, and use plenty of power. For the badge to unlock, both players need to catch the disc at least once — it’s not enough for only one person to be the catcher.
If it doesn’t unlock, you likely came up short on distance. Shift positions and try again. Flat ground helps avoid obstacles like rocks, vines, or slopes. If you’re desperate, you can try throwing from a high ledge to someone below, but missing the catch will make recovery a painful climb.
