In Hollow Knight: Silksong, some of the most powerful abilities are hidden deep within the later parts of the game. One of these is Silk Soar, also known as the Super Jump, which lets Hornet launch herself high into the air. To get it, you’ll first need to unlock the Diving Bell and then make your way into the Abyss. This guide will walk you through how to reach both locations and finally claim the Silk Soar ability for yourself.
How To Reach The Diving Bell in Hollow Knight Silksong

The Diving Bell Key is only usable once you’ve reached Act 3. You’ll need it to unlock the Diving Bell, which you can find in the Deep Docks.
To reach this point, first finish the quest with Grand Mother Silk, then reload your game at your last Bench checkpoint. After that, you’ll notice Ballow has moved to a spot above the Diving Bell in the Deep Docks. Talk to him there, and he’ll hand you the Diving Bell Key.
The Diving Bell is tucked away in the Deep Docks, hidden behind a locked Simple Key door. Use a Simple Key to open the gate, then make your way through the longer path that follows. Along the way, you’ll have to deal with a short mini-boss fight. Once you’ve cleared that, keep going until you reach the end, where the sealed Diving Bell is waiting.
How To Reach The Abyss in Hollow Knight Silksong

To unlock the Abyss, you first need to complete the Silk and Soul Wish, but this quest won’t be available right away. To open it up, you’ll have to finish nearly every other Wish in the game. That includes the ones posted on the Wishboards in Bone Bottom, Bellhart, The Citadel, and Songclave.
Once you’ve done that, head over to Bellhart and talk to Pavo, who will reward you with your very own Bellhomme. From there, your next step is to gather at least 25 Fleas and visit Mooshka. Each time you speak to her, she’ll move the caravan forward. Do this three times, and the caravan will eventually reach the Purefied Ducts.
After all that, make your way to Songclave and talk to the Caretaker. He’ll explain how you can finally bring down Grand Mother Silk, which completes the path to unlocking the Abyss.
How To Get Silk Soar in Hollow Knight Silksong

You’ll unlock the Super Jump ability in Act 3, once you’ve made your way down into the Abyss. From there, head to the right until you spot a large hole. Drop down, and at the bottom you’ll gain the ability. Keep in mind, you’ll need to be far enough along in the Silk and Song quest to access this Ancestral Art.
Using Super Jump is simple, though the exact controls depend on your platform. The idea is the same across all of them: hold down and then use your Harpoon skill to charge the jump. After a brief moment, Hornet will launch high into the air, but it will cost you some Silk each time.
