How to Get Shoreline Hideout in Path of Exile 2 – Hostile Takeover Quest

In search of the Shoreline Hideout’s in Path of Exile 2? It is none other than Act 4’s Hostile Takeover. In this guide, we’ll walk you through finding Ange in Kingsmarch, clearing the Singing Caverns on Whakapanu Island, defeating Diamora, and finally claiming your hidden shoreline base. Follow these steps to secure your new hideout quickly and safely.

Starting the Quest & Meeting Ange

“Hostile Takeover” becomes available as an Act 4 quest in Path of Exile 2, and completing it unlocks the secluded Shoreline Hideout that you can claim as a personal base. Your first step is to travel to Whakapanu Island and locate the Singing Caverns, but before that, you need to find Ange at the Kingsmarch harbor, so make your way there. When entering the town for the first time, she will be easy to spot. Ange will direct you to a hidden place that could become your base; however, it still isn’t fully secure due to some hostile monsters in the vicinity that need to be eliminated.

Whakapanu Island and the Chamber of Echoes

After speaking with Ange, your next step is to travel to Whakapanu Island, which opens up naturally as you progress through the main campaign. Once there, you’ll need to locate the Singing Caverns. The map is procedurally generated, so the exact layout changes each time you play, but you’ll know you’re on the right track when you spot a narrow hallway that opens into a circular arena. Along this path, you’ll notice petrified figures, which are a clear sign you’ve reached the Chamber of Echoes. Inside, you’ll face the boss Diamora, the Song of Death. Defeating her clears the primary threat on the island and allows you to proceed with the quest.

The Shoreline Hideout

Return to Ange in Kingsmarch after the fight. She will thank you for handling the island’s problems and offer to take you to the hidden shoreline location. Once there, you’ll need to eliminate a few weak mobs along the beach. They aren’t difficult enemies, so this step is mainly about clearing the area. Afterward, talk to Ange again, and you’ll be able to designate the Shoreline Hideout as your active base, officially completing the Hostile Takeover quest.
