In Once Human, the Nutcracker Deviant is a powerful companion you can add to your base to help protect your territory. It’s not something you can get easily though you’ll need to face tough bosses and explore dangerous areas to claim it. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to get the Nutcracker Deviant and how to use it effectively once it’s yours.
How to Get Nutcracker Deviant
You can get the Nutcracker Deviant by defeating Mensdevoran inside the Forsaken Monolith. This place is in the Red Sands region, and it’s home to a massive level‑60 boss, so be ready for a tough fight. You’ll need to be at least level 50 if you want a real chance at taking this boss down.
There’s also a small chance for the Nutcracker Deviant to drop when you take down the Forsaken Giant while clearing the Monolith. Once you beat the boss, look around the area you’ll see the Nutcracker inside a glowing orb floating nearby. Just walk up to it and hold F to claim it.
How to Use Nutcracker Deviant
After you’ve captured the Nutcracker Deviant, you’ll need to store it in an Isolated Securement Unit at your base before its abilities will work. While it’s active and guarding your territory, its Deviant Power will slowly drain. It will automatically attack any enemies that come close, keeping your territory safe so you can stay there without worry.
Once its energy runs out, the Nutcracker will automatically return to the facility to recharge. If you want to speed up the recharge process, place it under a green light along with one of the toys, and make sure the Securement Unit is connected to a power source. Make sure to connect it to a power source that provides at least 5W of power.
