If you like Greninja, you’ll be happy to know that Pokémon Legends: Z-A lets you unlock its powerful Mega Evolution. In this guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know, from how to get the Greninjite needed for Mega Evolution, to where you can catch Froakie and evolve it all the way into Greninja.

    How To Get Mega Greninja

You can make Greninja Mega Evolve during battles by giving it a Greninjite to hold. However, the transformation only happens once your energy meter is completely full. To get the Greninjite, you’ll need to take part in Season 1 of the online Ranked Battles.

Greninja, the final evolution of Froakie at level 36, is a Water-type standing nearly 5 feet tall and weighing 88 pounds. It creates throwing stars out of compressed water, which can even cut metal when thrown at high speeds.

It evolves from Frogadier at Level 36 and isn’t found in the wild. Greninja’s stats highlight its agility and special attacks: 72 HP, 95 Attack, 67 Defense, 103 Special Attack, 71 Special Defense, and 122 Speed, totaling 530 combat points.

Froakie protects itself with delicate bubbles and stays alert despite its playful appearance. It can be found in Wild Zone 16, sometimes sitting on the central pillar, especially at night or during rain. Froakie is very shy and will flee if spotted, so approach carefully and use a Quick Ball or Dusk Ball. Its high speed and decent attack stats make it tricky but rewarding to catch.

Wild Zone 16 becomes available after completing Main Mission 24, “Reaching Rank C.” The Pokémon here are around level 42, and you can find seven different species in this area.

Decided that degrees were as useful as extra lives in a Mario game-totally unnecessary! I’m diving into the extravagant universe of my favourite game, Assassin’s Creed, which lets me roam the world without actually paying for plane tickets. Hodophile by nature and aspiring to get lost in Hang Sơn Đoòng cave in Vietnam someday!
