Jade is among the rarer gemstones to come across in RuneScape Dragonwilds, and locating it largely comes down to luck. Like other gemstones you have to mine a specific ore, Jade can be found while mining iron. However, it is not sure that mining iron ore will yield Jade. According to many players, the chances of obtaining Jade appear to be very slim. This guide will walk you through the full process.
How to Get Jade in RuneScape Dragonwilds
You’ll first need to locate Iron. This requires progressing through a significant portion of the game to unlock the Stormtouched Highlands, situated west of the Fractured Plains. If you’ve already mined copper ore, Iron will look familiar, it appears as a brownish material on large boulders found along cliff sides.
A Bronze Pickaxe is required to mine these ores, so one of the priorities should be to upgrade the starting tools as soon as possible. It is also beneficial in case of an emergency situation to store a few Rocksplosion charges. A few players, however, say that by using the Rocksplosion spell, rare gemstones, such as Jade and Opal, will never spawn.
It’s important to mention that Jade appears to have a very low spawn rate. Some players have reported not finding the gem at all, no matter how much Iron they’ve mined. There’s also speculation that mining could be partially bugged for those with a skill level of 50 or higher.
Luckily, a few players have had better luck and acquired Jade . For now, the only viable option is to keep mining Iron and hope Jade eventually shows up.
On the bright side, the Iron you collect is quite valuable, it can be smelted into Iron Bars at a Furnace. As for gemstones, Opal seems to be the easiest to find right now. It’s used to enhance weapons and offers decent boosts. It’s assumed that Jade might serve a similar purpose, but the only way to confirm that is by getting your hands on some through sheer luck.
