How to Get Glow Dust in Oblivion Remastered – The Elder Scrolls IV

In Oblivion Remastered, Glow Dust is an important alchemical ingredient that plays a key role in few quests. There are two main ways to get Glow Dust. This guide will walk you through both the methods to get Glow Dust in Oblivion Remastered.

How to Get Glow Dust

Glow Dust is an alchemy ingredient that you can either collect by looting a dead Will-o-the-Wisp or simply buy from a alchemy shop.

Defeating a Will-o-the-Wisp

You can get glow dust by defeating a Will-o-the-Wisp. These creatures look like glowing orbs surrounded by sparkles. Similar to ghosts, they can only be killed using magic or a Daedric weapon. While they can be found in various outdoor locations, they are not as commonly seen as other creatures.

Just explore the area near Azura’s shrine (located in the map above) and keep look for floating and glowing lights. These lights are the Will-o-the-Wisps. You can use either magic or an enchanted weapon to take them down. Once they are defeated, search their remains and you should find some Glow Dust. Just keep in mind, the Will-o-the-Wisps will only appear around the shrine if the “Blood of the Daedra” quest is active when you visit.

From Alchemy Shop

In Oblivion Remastered, getting glow dust from an alchemy shop is easy. First, head to the Imperial City. There’s a large marketplace. It is filled with various shops where you can stock up on supplies. To find glow dust, fast travel to the location shown on the map above.

Once you are in the city, make your way to the main square. You will notice several statues and a central area surrounded by different shops and offices. Among these buildings is a potion store. The cost of the glow dust is about 50 gold, though it may change depending on your mercantile skill.

Be careful as upon arrival, some NPC may attack you. After that, head into the potion shop. Speak to the vendor, and scroll down through their wares. At the bottom of the list, you will find glow dust available for purchase. You can grab it easily and come back for more later if needed. Remember, the shop’s inventory refreshes after some time, so you might have to wait a bit.
