How to Get Dancer Legendary Class Mod in Borderlands 4

In Borderlands 4, the Dancer Legendary Class Mod gives you a big boost by adding +100% Overdrive Bonus until your Action Skill ends. To get it, you need to defeat a boss called Idolator Sol, who appears during the main mission Rush the Gate in Fortress Indomita, located in the Fadefields. After finishing the mission, you can return and fight him again using Moxxi’s Big Encore Machine near the arena entrance. This guide will explain where to find Sol, how to beat him, and how to farm the Dancer mod easily.

How to Get Dancer Legendary Class Mod

Defeating Idolator Sol will reward you with Dancer (+100% Overdrive Bonus. Overdrive ends on Action Skill end). You will also be rewarded with Onslaught, the Goremaster, Golden God, Technomancer, Bio Robot, and Furnace.

You can find Idolator Sol in Fortress Indomita, located in the Idolator’s Noose area of the Fadefields. This boss shows up during the main mission Rush the Gate. After you finish the mission, you can come back and farm Idolator Sol for loot. Just return to the same spot and use Moxxi’s Big Encore Machine near the entrance of the arena. Spend some cash, and you will be able to fight him again. It costs about 25,000 currency to use, but it’s great if you want to farm the boss for specific loot like legendary gear or weapons.

How to Defeat the Idolator Sol

SMGs or Assault Rifles with fire damage work best against Idolator Sol, since it’s hard to get close without getting hit. Keeping your distance and dealing damage from range will make things a lot easier. Idolator Sol is heavily armored, and regular bullets won’t do anything to him until you break through this armor.

You will need to find a way to expose his real body underneath the plating. The boss has three health bars, and each one represents a different phase of the fight. As the battle progresses, his attacks become more aggressive and varied. Here are all the attacks of Idolator Sol’s and how to Dodge them:

    • He summons a giant sword and spins it around the arena in a huge area. It’s too wide to run from, so double-jump and hover in the air to stay safe.
    • Sol drops red rods from the sky in rows, one of them will be green and contain a Locust Canister. In Phase 1, there’s one row; in Phase 2, two rows; and in Phase 3, three. This attack is easy to dodge since it shows you exactly where the rods will land. More importantly, this is the key to breaking his armor.
    • Sol charges straight at you using his shield. Just dodge to the side to avoid it, the path is predictable.
    • He fires a beam of energy from his hand. In the early phase, the beam stays in one direction, but later it starts tracking your movement. Dodge to the side in Phase 1, and keep running in Phase 2 and 3 to avoid the homing beam.
    • Sol punches the ground, causing energy spikes to shoot up. Watch the ground closely, you will see where it’s about to hit, so jump and dodge away quickly.
    • In Phase 2, he fills the area with Locust energy and summons thunderbolts. To avoid damage, look for a glowing safe zone and stand inside it before the lightning lands.

To defeat Idolator Sol, the key is to keep your distance and stay alert for his Impaler Rod attack. When he uses this move, watch for the green rod and quickly grapple to it to grab a Locust Canister. Throw the canister at Sol to shatter his armor, then target his weak spots, like the upper torso to expose his head, or the stomach to reveal glowing green sacs on his sides.

These areas take critical damage, so focus your fire there to maximize your damage output. Stay out of range of his stomping attacks and repeat this strategy through all three phases. Each time his armor breaks, pour on the damage before it regenerates. After draining all three health bars, Sol will finally go down.
