How to Get Bronze Tools and Armour in Runescape: Dragonwilds

In RuneScape: Dragonwilds, upgrading your gear is key to surviving tougher enemies and unlocking better tools. Acquiring Bronze tools and armor is necessary to equip yourself for more difficult enemies and to mine quicker. This guide will walk you through everything, to crafting Bronze Bars and using them to upgrade your gear.

How to Get Bronze Tools and Armour

The Bronze upgrade is the third step up from the basic gear. You start with Stone, then move on to Bone, and now Bronze comes in as the next upgrade.

Where to Get Bronze Tools

If you’re looking to get your hands on Bronze tools and armor in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, head towards the Fractured Plains along the river. This area is located just north of the Whispering Swamp and is rich with Tin and Copper nodes. Before you go there, make sure you’re ready with healing potion. Bring a good weapon to fight enemies, pack some food to stay healthy, and most importantly, take a Bone Pickaxe, you can’t mine any ore without it.

How to Build the Furnace

To make Bronze Bars, first, build a Furnace. The Furnace uses burning charcoal to create intense heat, allowing you to fire clay and smelt ores into metal bars. To build it, you’ll need 24 Stone, 8 Clay, 4 Fire Runes, 8 Charcoal, and 10 Vault Shards. Once it’s built, it becomes a key part of your crafting setup.

This will unlock early on through basic crafting and needs some stone. Once it’s set up, just drag both Copper and Tin into the Furnace at the same time, no need to smelt one before the other. The Furnace takes care of the rest, and soon enough, Bronze Bars will pop out. Add them to your inventory.

Once you reach the Fractured Plains, you will find huge copper and tin nodes there. Carry your bone pick-axe to mine them. Now put the ores inside the furnace to get bronze bars, which will unlock the recipe to smithing forge. For the recipe, you’ll need Bronze Bar, Ash Logs, Coarse Thread, and Vault Core.

Crafting with the Smithing Forge

To use Bronze Bars, head to the Smithing Anvil to craft Bronze tool and fix up broken gear. Bronze gear is a solid step up from Bone, helping you mine faster, fight better, and survive longer.

Once you make the smithing forge, which needs to be in an enclosed area, you can upgrade all the armours and tools to bronze. Remember, the first thing you need to make is the bronze axe to get ash logs from oak trees.
