How To Fly Jets In Battlefield 6

Flying jets in Battlefield 6 is one of the most exciting things you can do in the game. It’s fast, intense, and can turn the tide of a battle if you know what you’re doing. Whether you’re chasing enemy aircraft through the skies or swooping down to strafe ground targets, mastering jets takes a mix of skill, timing, and smart flying. This guide will walk you through how to get a jet, the basic controls, and some key tips so you can fly a jet like a pro.

How To Get Jets In Battlefield 6

If you want to fly a jet in Battlefield 6, you’ll need to jump into large-scale modes like Conquest on maps that actually have air combat, like Liberation Peak or Operation Firestorm. Jets spawn at your team’s HQ from time to time. When one’s ready, you’ll see a message pop up saying “Aircraft Available for Deployment.” That’s your cue to head back to HQ, interact with the Vehicle Supply Station, and you’ll spawn straight into the air already in mid-flight, sitting in the cockpit and ready to go.

How To Fly Jets

If you want to rack up kills in Battlefield 6 with an attack jet, you’ve got to get comfortable with the controls first. On PC, you’ll push W to speed up and S to slow down. Turning is done with A to yaw left and D to yaw right. To fire your weapons, hit the space bar or right mouse button, and if you want to swap weapons, press F or scroll the middle mouse wheel up. Hold Left Shift to activate the afterburner. And if things get too hot and you need to bail, just press E to jump out.

On a controller, pushing the left stick up will make you go faster, and pulling it down will slow you down. Move the stick left or right to turn in that direction. Fire with RT (or R2 on PlayStation), and switch weapons with the Triangle or Y button. To kick in the afterburner, press the left stick, and if you need to exit the jet, hit the interact button.

Tips to Fly Jets

In Battlefield 6, jets are built for air-to-air combat, so your top job is taking out enemy aircraft, especially other jets and helicopters. Your rapid-fire autocannon is perfect for this since flares can’t block it, and it’ll tear through their armour fast. Once you’ve cleared the skies and have air superiority, then you can start making strafing runs on ground targets.

When you’re flying, don’t just keep the throttle maxed out all the time. Slowing down a bit lets you turn more sharply, but going too slow and you’ll risk stalling. The trick is finding the right balance. If you do start to stall, kick in the afterburners to recover your speed. You can keep an eye on how fast you’re going by checking the “M” number (mach speed) on your cockpit HUD; it’s in the lower-left part of the main display.

And one more thing, avoid flying straight up. It might look cool, but it’ll kill your speed and manoeuvrability in seconds, leaving you an easy target for enemy pilots and anti-air weapons.
