How to Fix the Repair Vehicle Challenge Not Working in Battlefield 6

If you’re not able to complete the Repair Vehicle challenge in Battlefield 6, you’re not the only one with this problem. A lot of gamers are continuing to repair vehicles without seeing any advancement in their challenges. This problem has been around for a while, and even though EA has acknowledged it, the fix isn’t live yet. This guide will tell the reasons behind your repairs possibly not being counted and a method to work around the issue temporarily, until an official patch is put out.

How to Fix the Repair Vehicle Challenge Not Working

Battling with the Repair Vehicle challenges in Battlefield 6 has to be one of the most frustrating experiences among players, but you are definitely not alone. Many gamers have reported that the tracking of these challenges is not functioning properly, even if you are already repairing vehicles as intended.

Usually, whenever you are performing repairs on vehicles, a notification saying “Repairing” together with a number indicating your points will appear briefly on your screen. This number indicates the points that are added to your challenge progress, but this time, it is not working very well.

The issue affects multiple challenges, including:

  • Team Play Challenge 3 (Initiation Assignment) – Repair 200 points worth of vehicles.
  • Engineer Class Challenge 1 – Repair 2,000 points worth of vehicles.
  • Unit Adaptable Challenge – Repair 3,000 points worth of vehicles in one life without dying.

If you’re repairing vehicles and nothing’s being counted, here’s what might be happening.

  • A common suggestion in the community is that your repairs only count if the vehicle belongs to one of your squadmates.
  • You need to play as the Pax Armada faction for repairs to register. You can do this by going to the Loadouts menu from the home screen, pressing Swap Faction, and selecting Pax Armada before joining a match.
  • Some players said that simply restarting Battlefield 6 made their repair progress appear again.

The fix involves using custom community-made maps in the Portal mode. From the main menu:

  1. Go to the Community tab.
  2. Select Search Experiences.
  3. Choose Conquest as the mode.
  4. Pick one of the most popular maps.

The moment you enter the game, your first step is to locate one of the vehicles controlled by AI and to join the crew that repairs it when it enters the maintenance stage. You will be surprised to know that the progress only counts when there is a person seated in the vehicle, even if that person is a bot. If the vehicle is unoccupied, your repairs will not be accounted for. However, once a player or a bot occupies the seat, your repair points will start adding up again.

Until Electronic Arts provides a hotfix for this issue (which they have already admitted to on their public forum), the community version of the method is the best. It is necessary to repair the vehicles while the bots are in them, and your progress should start being recorded accurately again.
