If you want to get the Bookworm Badge achievement in PEAK, you’ll have to collect all of Scoutmaster Myre’s journal entries, which are represented as Scrolls throughout your Ascent runs. Scrolls are scattered all over the island and won’t all be available at the same time, so collecting them requires a bit of patience and time. How to find Scoutmaster Myre’s journal entries
To unlock the next level of PEAK, which is Ascent, you will initially have to do a complete run and get to the very top of the island. Ascent will be unlocked once you’ve completed that, but first you’ll need to wait for the island to reset. This takes place every 24 hours.
Now, once a new island has spawned after the reset, Scrolls can begin to appear on your Ascent runs. One of the most popular areas for them to appear is beside the first campfire in the starting area, but they will not be there every time. When you do find a Scroll, simply open it to log that journal entry.
You only get four unique Scrolls on each island, so you’ll require at least two resets in order to get all eight that are required for the achievement. The Scrolls may appear in various locations, and they are not specific to any sequence of locations so you don’t have to worry about missing them in a specific order.
And there’s also a trick that may still be possible if you get a Scroll from an Ascent run, open it, then exit out and begin a new run on the same difficulty. That same location could display a different entry. Just be aware this only works once per island reset, and there’s a possibility that it may get patched out in later updates.
Bookworm Badge achievement in PEAK
Once you’ve collected all eight Scrolls, you’ll unlock the Bookworm Badge, which also adds a new cosmetic reward to your sash screen. This achievement isn’t really about skill, it’s more about patience. You’ll need to climb the island on different days and check various zones, since the Scrolls don’t all show up at once. If you’re not finding any new Scrolls, it probably means the island hasn’t reset yet, so you’ll have to wait for the next cycle before continuing your hunt.
