How to Find Rise Tower Crests and Unlock Them in Elden Ring Nightreign

If you want to unlock the Rise towers in Elden Ring: Nightreign this guide is for you. These tall towers are marked on your map and often have great rewards inside, but getting in can be a bit tricky. Some are blocked by magic, and you will need to find special crests nearby to open them. Others have different puzzles or hidden secrets. In this guide, will show you how to find these crests, how to unlock the towers, and what you will find inside once you’re in.

How to Find Rise Tower Crests

Rises are the tall towers you will see marked on the Nightreign map, and each expedition has at least two of them. They are found near the edges of the map. Get to them early on the first or second night, before the rain circle begins to close in. Upon reaching a rise, you will notice that a magical barrier is blocking access to the second floor. A message will appear, telling you that you need to find a crest to get through.

These crests look like glowing light-blue circles with mysterious symbols inside. You will usually find one somewhere nearby. If a plant is hiding a crest, you will see it moving even when there’s no wind elsewhere. If the rise is close to a pond, the crest will be in the water.

How to Unlock Tower Crests

To unlock a tower crests, get inside and do a dodge roll. You will hear a shattering sound, and a message will pop up letting everyone know that the rise is now unlocked.

Sometimes, you will come across a rise that doesn’t have the usual crest. Instead, you will see a little stone imp statue in front of it. Look at the book it’s holding and interact with it, that’s what breaks the seal and lets you in. In one case, the crest was actually hidden inside a moving tree trunk. If you see something like that, just lock on to it and attack, it will disappear in a puff of smoke, and the rise will open up.

There are also a few rare rises that don’t seem to have a crest at all. If you run into one you can’t unlock, just move on. When you do manage to get inside a rise, you will see a scaffold instead of stairs on the ground floor. Climb up, walk out onto the balcony, and take the stairs to the top room. You will find some items, one rare weapon or a legendary weapon.
