Heroic Spirit is a side quest you can find while exploring Pyrgos Village in Titan Quest 2. It tells the story of a brave warrior named Kaenas, who risked everything to protect innocent people during an Icthian invasion. This guide will walk you through how to start the quest, where to find Kaenas, how to survive the battles ahead, and what rewards you’ll earn for completing the story.
How to Find Kaenas in Titan Quest 2
To move forward in the Heroic Spirit world quest, you’ll need to head into the dangerous, Icthian-infested swamplands. Your goal is to reach a location called the Secluded Beach. Once you arrive, you’ll find Kaenas, now a spirit, locked in battle against waves of Icthians. It’s a chaotic fight, and you’ll need to be ready for a real challenge.
There are four waves of Icthian enemies you must defeat. If you happen to fall during one of the waves, the game resets you to the start of that particular wave, so play carefully and be prepared. The final wave includes an Icthian Magus, a powerful boss that specialises in poison-based Plague attacks. It’s a good idea to bring a Potion with the Purification attribute, since it’ll help cleanse the Plagued ailment and keep you alive during the fight.
After defeating the waves, Kaenas will speak to you. He’ll ask for one last favour: to recover his stolen sword, taken by the Icthians after his death. To find it, head up the cliffs to the north of the beach and fight through more Icthians in the area. Eventually, you’ll recover the weapon.
Bring the sword back to Kaenas, and you’ll finally lay his spirit to rest. As a reward, you’ll earn Gold, Experience, and an Attribute Point. With the Heroic Spirit quest now complete, return to Pyrgos and speak with Zita to tell her what happened to Kaenas, how he died with honour as a proud warrior, and how his legendary sword is now in your hands.
How to Start the Heroic Quest
While exploring Pyrgos Village, you’ll eventually come across a world quest called Heroic Spirit. To get started, make your way to the northwest side of the village, near the elevator. There, you’ll meet an NPC named Zita. She’ll tell you about a legendary warrior named Kaenas, who once saved her and a group of refugees during a brutal Icthian attack. She’s worried about what happened to him, and asks you to find him and, if he’s still alive, to help him return safely to Pyrgos.
