If you’re a fan of Bug and Steel-type Pokémon, Scizor is one you definitely don’t want to miss. Evolving from Scyther, this Pokémon combines incredible strength with a sleek, armored design. In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you can’t find Scizor in the wild; you’ll have to evolve it yourself. Here’s a simple guide on how to get your own Scizor, along with where to find Scyther and what makes this evolution worth getting.
How To Evolve Scyther Into Scizor

To evolve your Scyther into Scizor in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you’ll first need to get your hands on a Metal Coat. You can earn one by completing Side Mission 101: Steadfast as Steel in the Bleu Sector 5, or Side Mission 114: A Feather from Skarmory in the Vert Sector 7.
Once you’ve got the Metal Coat, just use the trade evolution method to evolve Scyther into Scizor. It doesn’t spawn naturally in the wild, so trading is necessary. Scizor packs a punch with its stats: 70 HP, 130 Attack, 100 Defense, 55 Special Attack, 80 Special Defense, and 65 Speed, totaling 500 combat points. Its high Attack and Defense make it a formidable presence in battle.
Scizor is a Bug/Steel-type Pokémon, nearly 6 feet tall and weighing over 260 pounds. Its body is covered in steel-hard armor, and it uses its eye-patterned pincers to intimidate foes before striking with precision.
Scyther in Pokémon Legends Z-A

Scyther uses its sharp scythes to tear through prey and only rarely spreads its wings to fly. It appears in Wild Zone 13 only at night after Main Mission 14. You can skip time to night by resting on a bench outside a Pokécenter. With very high attack and speed, Scyther is a fast and deadly Pokémon in battle.

Wild Zone 13 unlocks after completing Main Mission 14, “Reaching Rank E.” The Pokémon here are around level 36 to 37, and there are six different species you can find in this area.
