The game “Schedule 1” presents players with scenarios where evading law enforcement becomes a crucial objective. This guide outlines strategies for escaping the police within the game’s mechanics, focusing on breaking line of sight, utilizing in-game hiding spots, and managing the consequences of being apprehended. Understanding these tactics can significantly improve a player’s ability to navigate the challenges of evading pursuit and minimizing penalties.
How to Escape from the Police
If you’re trying to lose the cops, the key is to break their line of sight. The moment an officer spots you, your first priority is to put some distance between yourself and them. If you stay too close, they can grab you, handcuff you, and take you into custody, so get out of that danger zone fast.
Once you’ve put some space between you and the cops, keep moving. Run as fast as you can, take sharp turns, and weave through obstacles. Hiding behind trees, billboards, trash cans, cars, boxes, or low walls can help you stay out of sight. Anything that blocks their view of you will work.
If you’re marked as “Under Arrest,” “Wanted,” or “Wanted Dead or Alive,” you won’t be able to enter any of your safe houses, so don’t even try. Instead, just keep hiding and staying out of sight until the warning disappears. Think of it like a progress bar; once it’s gone, you’re in the clear.
If the police catch you, you’ll have to pay a fine, and the amount depends on how serious your crimes are and how many you’ve committed. Minor offenses like breaking curfew won’t cost you much, but resisting arrest or attacking officers can rack up big fines especially early in the game when money is tight.
The good news? If you’re arrested with no cash on you, you won’t lose any money. So, to protect your finances, it’s a smart move to deposit most (or all) of your money in the bank beforehand.
Best Places to Hide from Police
One of the best hiding spots to escape the cops is the roof of Fat Dragon Chinese Restaurant, run by your landlord, Mrs. Ming. It’s conveniently located right next to your second house in the game. To get there, just walk along the small platform under your window, turn the corner, and crouch. The police won’t be able to see you, and if they do, simply adjust your position to break their line of sight again. Even if you’re at the highest wanted level, this spot can help you get away.
Another solid hiding place is inside dumpsters. Normally, you’d use them to toss out trash, but if you jump in and close the lid, they can be a great last-minute hiding spot. You can also use larger, open-top dumpsters scattered around the city, just make sure you pick one in a good location, like an alley or behind a store, to stay out of sight.
