How to Equip Chalice (Urn) & Goblet in Nightreign

In Nightreign, Chalices and Goblets assist you in combining and pairing various types of Relics to achieve more powerful and versatile builds. They allow you to combine Relics of varying colors, which allows you to discover new effects that aren’t available with the simple Nightfarer’s Urn. In this guide, we will explain how to obtain Chalices and Goblets, how to use them, and why you need them for character upgrades.

How to Equip Chalice & Goblet

In Nightreign, Chalices are special items that Nightfarers can equip to change how their relics work. These come in different forms like urns, goblets, and, of course, chalices. Swapping out a Nightfarer’s chalice changes the type and color of relics they can use, giving you more flexibility in how you build and customize your character.

You can switch Goblets and Chalices from the Relic Rites menu in the Roundtable Hold. If you are on a console, just press down on the D-pad when you are in the Relic Rites screen to open the selection menu. On PC, just click the little down arrow to bring up the same options.

How to Get Chalice & Goblet

To buy Goblets from the Small Jar Bazaar, you need to defeat Gladius once. They cost 1,200 Murk per character. Just a heads-up: Goblets for characters like Duchess or Revenant won’t show up unless you have already unlocked those characters.

Chalices work a bit differently; they are earned during each character’s Remembrance quest. You can get a Remembrance randomly by completing an expedition or meeting certain objectives.

Goblets and Chalices will let you equip Relics of different colors, which gives you new combinations of passive effects. Each Chalice you earn through Remembrance quests comes with a special slot that can hold any Relic, no matter its color. That makes these quests worth doing, especially since you also get unique Relics as rewards.
