How to Defeat the Ye Wanshan Boss In Where Winds Meet

Ye Wanshan is one of the tougher early bosses you’ll face in Where Winds Meet. His fight mixes fast weapon swings, delayed heavy attacks, and a second phase that can catch you off guard if you’re not prepared. This guide will walk you through where to find him, what to expect in each part of the fight, and the easiest ways to counter his moves.

Ye Wanshan Boss Location In Where Winds Meet

You’ll run into Ye Wanshan during the Bodhi Sea Campaign. If you want to try the Bodhi Sea Campaign Challenge version of the fight, you’ll first need to finish the main Bodhi Sea Campaign itself. Once that’s done, the challenge mode becomes available.

Head to the Bodhi Sea near Halo Peak in Sundara Land. Once you’re there, hit the drums scattered around the area to progress. Keep your healing items ready because the sea effects and enemies can drain you quickly.

After you finish that section, go back to Zhang Yinmang. You’ll then be taken into an illusion realm. Just follow the path until Ye Wanshan shows up.

How to Defeat the Ye Wanshan Boss

Ye Wanshan is actually easy to read in battle because he only strikes using his weapons. His attacks always come with a short delay, so don’t rush your deflects. Wait for the hit to actually land, then deflect to open him up and decrease his Qi bar. During the fight, parrying his attacks will stun him, so make sure to take advantage of those openings to bring him down faster.

In his second phase, he lights his weapons on fire. This is when he starts doing a big slam attack and throws his glaive at you twice. All of his moves can’t be blocked, so focus on dodging them and staying safe until you get an opening.
