The Snake Doctor is one of the tougher World Bosses you’ll face in Where Winds Meet. If you’re planning to take him on, you need to know where he’s hiding, what attacks he uses, and which arts make the fight easier. This guide will tell you everything so you can reach him safely, survive the poisonous area, and get his rewards.
Snake Doctor World Boss in Where Winds Meet

The Snake Doctor is hiding inside an underground cave packed with snakes in the Encircling Lake area, south of Qinghe. To find the entrance, look just west of the Boss marker on your map. Be careful when you head inside the cave; it is crawling with snakes that can take you out fast. Instead of fighting them, it’s easier to keep moving. Jump, dodge, and weave your way through until you reach the Snake Doctor deeper inside the tunnel.
How to Defeat the Snake Doctor World Boss
When fighting the Snake Doctor, a few specific arts can make the battle much easier. The Panacea Fan is great because it keeps you alive longer and helps you deal with the poison and small bits of damage you’ll take throughout the fight. If you prefer getting up close, the Thundercry Blade works really well. Its strong melee hits and burst damage let you punish the Snake Doctor whenever he leaves an opening.
For movement, Cloudsteps is extremely useful. It lets you quickly close the distance and stay in his face, giving him less time to use his ranged attacks. And if you need something more defensive, Golden Boy is a solid choice since it helps you survive those moments when you can’t avoid taking a hit.
How to Counter the Snake Doctor World Boss Moveset

The Snake Doctor has a few moves you really need to watch out for.
- His ranged poison attacks are the most dangerous. He’ll fire several projectiles or hit the ground around you, and getting tagged by these can stack poison fast. The best way to deal with them is to stay close so he doesn’t use them as much, and if he does, dodge sideways and dash to avoid the arcs.
- He also has an un-parryable combo where three snake-like attacks sweep out in a wide arc. This move hits extremely hard, and you cannot parry it. As soon as you see it coming, back off completely or side-step far out of its range.
- His regular melee swings and lunges are much easier to handle. They have slow and predictable wind-ups, so just dodge at the end of the animation and punish him while he recovers.
- Finally, like most bosses, he has a stamina or posture bar. If you let the fight drag on, the poison pressure becomes a problem, so try to keep hitting him consistently. Once you break his stamina, use your Execute attacks to take off a big chunk of his health and speed up the fight.
When you defeat the Snake Doctor, you’ll walk away with a nice set of rewards. You’ll get around 20 Echo Jade, 50 Qinghe Exploration points, and about 8,000 Character EXP, along with 8,000 coins. He also drops one Bone Shedding item, a Star Reacher: Tome, and three Medicinal Tales, making the fight well worth the effort.
