How to Cure Food Poisoning in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Food poisoning can be a serious problem in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, potentially leading to death if left untreated. While resting or waiting for the effects to wear off might help, these methods take time and require you to have enough health to survive the duration. The fastest and most effective way to recover is by using a Digestive Potion, which instantly cures food poisoning and prevents further health loss. Whether you choose to buy one or craft it yourself, having a Digestive Potion on hand can make all the difference in ensuring Henry stays in fighting shape.

The quickest way to cure food poisoning is by using a Digestive Potion, but if your health is already low, you will need to act fast, as food poisoning can be fatal in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. While sleeping can help a bit, and waiting it out is an option if you have enough health to spare, your best bet is to get your hands on a potion as soon as possible to recover quickly.

    Digestive Potion

The fastest way to get a Digestive Potion is to buy one. While you might find innkeepers at taverns selling them occasionally, the most reliable place to purchase one is an Apothecary. A good spot to check is in Kuttenberg, located in the southern part of the city near Ruthard Castle.

A Digestive Potion typically costs between 25-35 Groschen, depending on your reputation and haggling skills. Once you have one, use it immediately to cure your food poisoning and prevent further health loss.

If you’re looking for something even more effective, you can buy stronger versions of the potion, which not only cure food poisoning but also provide additional stat bonuses. However, these will cost more, so improving your haggling skills can help you get a better deal.

    How to Craft Digestive Potion

Alternatively, you can craft the potion yourself. At the start of the game, when you and Hans are saved, you are introduced to Alchemy, and you receive the recipe for the Digestive Potion. If you missed it, you can buy the recipe from an Apothecary for around 200 Groschen.

To brew it, you will need:

    • 1x Nettle
    • 2x Thistle
    • 1x Charcoal

Once you have all the necessary ingredients, head to an Alchemy Bench to start brewing the Digestive Potion. Begin by adding Thistle to the cauldron and let it boil for two turns. Next, grind the Nettle and add it to the mixture. Allow it to boil for one more turn, ensuring the ingredients blend properly.

After that, grind the Charcoal and add it to the cauldron before pouring the final mixture. Once the potion is ready, drink it immediately to cure food poisoning. Keep in mind that brewing takes longer than simply buying one, so make sure you have enough health to last through the process.
