How to Create Kevin Durant Template Build in NBA 2K26

If you want to play like Kevin Durant in NBA 2K26, this build is a great choice. KD is tall, can shoot from anywhere, dribble smoothly, and score in many ways. With the new BadgeMax +1 and +2 system, you can now give your player powerful badges, like Hall of Fame Deadeye, Gold Limitless Range, and Gold Lightning Launch.

How to Create Kevin Durant Template Build

KD has Hall of Fame Deadeye, Gold Limitless Range, and Gold Lightning Launch. Great badges for a 6’11” build. And with the introduction of the new BadgeMax +1 and +2 system, you can actually equip these on your player.

Here’s the base:

  • Height: 6’11”
  • Weight: 213 lbs
  • Wingspan: 7’1″
  • Position: Power Forward

This build unlocks Legend Set Shot, Hall of Fame Shifty, and more. And it’s only possible because of the new badge system.

Dribble Moves and Shooting

KD’s dribble animations only need a 70 ball handle. You can go with 73 ball handle and 75 strength, this gets us Gold Strong Handles and all of KD’s signature dribbles.

On top of that, you will get his jump shot base and releases with the 89 mid-range. You get the full KD shooting and dribbling package on this build. His dribble style only needs 65 speed with ball, and you will have 68 speed with ball

Rebounding and Defence

Boxout Beast isn’t tied to strength anymore. With an 85 defensive rebound, you get:

  • Gold Boxout Beast
  • Silver Rebound Chaser

It matches KD’s setup almost perfectly, which is exactly what you want.

Finishing Moves

Use your points in the finishing moves, so that you can easily score in the match.

  • 90 layup
  • 87 driving dunk
  • 72 standing dunk – gets you Bronze Rise Up
  • 87 post control – unlocks Gold Post Up Poet and Post Fade Phenom

Defense Upgrades

Use a good amount of points in the defence so that no one can easily take the ball from you.

  • 71 perimeter defense = Bronze Challenger
  • 60 steal = Bronze Interceptor
  • 84 block
  • 70 interior defense = Silver Anchor

You can use the remaining points by adding them to free throw, because Kevin Durant is automatic from the line. The following are the badges that you can use on KD to better throw the ball to your teammates and at the basket.

  • Tier 2: Lightning Launch, Shifty Shooter, Posterizer.
  • Tier 1: Set Shot, Deadeye, and Physical Finisher.

If you choose Shooting as your specialisation, you will get +2 and +1 for shooting badges. The remaining points you can use on some of the suggested upgrades are:

  • +2 to Set Shot – unlock Legend Set Shot
  • +1 to Deadeye – unlock Gold Deadeye

Now, for the best part, there is another +2 that can go into any tier. Use it on Bronze Limitless Range, and it will become Gold Limitless.

Other Upgrades

For your Tier 2 +2, go with Lightning Launch. This will push it to Gold. You will still have +1s left. So, +1 to Shifty Shooter – gets you Gold Shifty. You could go with Posterizer here, too, but Shifty fits KD’s style more.

One last +1 remains for Tier 1. Some good options are:

  • Paint Patroller to Gold
  • Brick Wall to Silver
  • Rebound Chaser to Gold
  • Boxout Beast to Hall of Fame
  • Physical Finisher
  • Unpluckable to Gold

You have a lot of flexibility based on your playstyle. This build is very good because it’s balanced, athletic, and versatile, without cap breakers.
