How to Cook a Meal at the Cooking Pit in Solek Camp in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora

Cooking is one of the first survival mechanics you will learn in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and it plays an important role early in the story. When you arrive at Solek Camp, the game asks you to prepare a meal before setting out to search for the Sarentu. In this guide, we will tell you how to cook a meal at the Cooking Pit in Solek Camp so you’re ready for the journey ahead.

Cooking Pit in Solek Camp

When you reach Solek Camp, you are required to search for Sarentu. Before going on the journey, you need to cook a meal at the cooking pit at the Solek’s camp. In Solek’s camp, you will find a resting mat. This will grant you an additional temporary health segment. The additional health segments will disappear when you take damage. The cooking pit is near the entrance of the camp.

How to Cook a Meal

Once you’ve gathered things like meat, fruit, or mushrooms, you can take them to a cooking station to make food. You’re free to mix any two ingredients, and different combinations will give you different stat boosts. You don’t need to find recipes first; they unlock naturally as you experiment and try new mixes. You can only carry seven cooked meals in your pouch at a time, so choose carefully. Before heading into a fight, make sure you bring the dishes that give you the buffs you will need most.

Eating cooked food does more than just fill you up. It restores your energy, which slowly helps your health recover, and it also gives you a special buff based on the ingredients you used. The first ingredient you select matters most; it becomes the dominant one and decides what buff you get, no matter how good or rare the ingredients are.
