The Acquire Hacky Smack contract in Borderlands 4 may be picked up from the Abandoned Post safehouse in Coastal Bonescape. It may present itself in various other safehouses or other variants, but this is one safehouse where it is available. Upon accepting the contract, you must then head to the area marked on your map. That location might differ slightly for each particular player. When you arrive at the marked location on your map, look for an object that looks like a sword. Interact with it and press the prompted button to carry it.
Completing the Hacky Smack Contract
After picking up the Hacky Smack, you must carry it all the way back to the designated drop-off point. You cannot fast travel, use a vehicle, or drop the item while carrying it. The game will mark the return point once you pick it up, and you can either follow ECHO’s suggested path or simply head straight toward the icon. The Echo path can often be winding and less efficient, so moving in a straight line is usually faster.
Note: Using a combination of jump, double jump, and a fully charged jetpack also speeds up the travel compared to just running.
