If you’re exploring Dying Light: The Beast and want a safe place to rest, the Library Tower is a good option. Unlocking it takes some climbing, a bit of puzzle-solving, and clearing out a few zombies along the way. This guide will walk you through the steps to climb the tower, power it up, and secure it as a safe zone.
How To Climb The Library Tower Safe Zone

Head over to the scaffolding at the base of the tower. Climb up the ladders to reach the higher levels. It’s a straightforward climb. Once you get inside, take out the infected waiting there. After that, turn around and look up, and you’ll need to climb higher.
- Jump up and grab the ledges above.
- Walk carefully across the beams.
- Jump across to the next platform and climb up.
When you reach the west side of the building, you’ll spot another spot you can climb. Jump across, pull yourself up, and keep moving.
Power Up the Generator

Inside, you’ll find a generator. Turn it on, then grab the cable and connect it to the box on the opposite side of the room (north face). This will power up a big rotating gear. Wait for the lever on the gear to reach the top, then grab it and ride it up.
- Climb up from the gear and head left.
- Keep climbing until you reach the upper floors.
- Take out the zombies waiting for you there.
Collect the Blueprint & Drop the Ladder

Look around for a workbench, you’ll find an Extinguisher Blueprint there. Also, be sure to kick down the nearby ladder.
Now it’s time to move the power cable:
- Drop down using the ladder.
- Unplug the cable from its current spot.
- Climb back up the ladder you kicked down earlier.
- Plug the cable into the box upstairs.
Once the cable is connected, the Library Tower will unlock as a safe house. You now have a new safe zone to rest and prepare for your next adventure.
