How to Begin the Search for Vigorwasp in Monster Hunter Wilds
Upon entering Chapter 4-2 and the mission Chasing Change, you’ll unlock High Rank, bringing stronger monsters into your hunts. To help you prepare, your Palico will offer to enhance their healing abilities. Speak with them to start the quest.
They’ll task you with capturing a Vigorwasp, a key component in upgrading their healing support. These creatures can be found in the following locations:
- Windward Plains – Areas 10 and 13
- Scarlet Forest – Areas 2, 10, and 12
- Ruins of Wyveria – Areas 2 and 5
How to Locate a Vigorwasp in Monster Hunter Wilds
Vigorwasps are bee-like creatures that occasionally appear during hunts, providing healing to you and nearby allies when activated. In Monster Hunter Wilds, they can be found in three known locations: the Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, and Ruins of Wyveria.
To capture a Vigorwasp, players should first travel to the Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, or Ruins of Wyveria. To do this, open the local map, press the “World Map” input at the bottom of the screen, and select one of these ecosystems in Monster Hunter Wilds. Then, choose a camp within the selected area to fast travel there instantly.
Note: The Ruins of Wyveria may be inaccessible to players who have just accepted the Healing Help side mission. While it’s possible to visit this map through one of Alma’s optional quests, it may be easier to search for Vigorwasps in the Plains or Forest instead.
How to Capture a Vigorwasp in Monster Hunter Wilds
After reaching the Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, or Ruins of Wyveria, open the local map and navigate to the “Filter Icons” feature in the bottom-left corner. Set it to “Display All,” scroll down to Vigorwasp, select it, and set a waypoint. Next, mount your Seikret by pressing up on the D-pad or Tab on a keyboard, then use auto-move to travel to the marked location.
Once there, browse the Item Bar in the bottom-right corner, select and equip the Capture Net, then hold the Aim Slinger input. Aim at the Vigorwasp and press the Fire Slinger input to capture it. Head back to camp and talk to your Palico to complete the Healing Help side quest. As a token of appreciation for your help, they will reward you with:
