Hold Her Head High Quest Guide – Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

Hold Her Head High is a quest in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon that will test your skills in both exploration and combat. In this quest, you’ll be sent to recover Morrigan’s Head, a powerful and dangerous artefact that must be cleansed. Along the way, you’ll face traps and enemies trying to stop you. This guide will walk you through where to go, what to look out for, and how to complete the quest safely.

How to Start the Hold Her Head High Quest

Return to Luth if you wish to start the Hold Her Head High quest. You’ll find him waiting outside Morrigan’s Hollow in Cuanacht. First, head to the city, then go south until you reach the Petrified Village waypoint. Look around the cliffs, there you’ll spot Luth. He’ll hand you a key that opens the door to the Crow’s hideout. Once inside, have a chat with Self. You’ll learn about your next task, and you’ll also earn the title Fledgling.

As it happens, one of the seers passed away, and he held Morrigan’s Head, which is a highly significant item. Now it’s up to you to track it down and purify it, making sure no one who touched it escapes its cleansing.

Just north of town, in a cave, the seer was hiding. You’ll find it between the Abyss of Sagremor and the abandoned village further to the north. Head that way and look for a cave entrance tucked among the rocks.

When you go inside, you won’t run into any enemies, it’s completely quiet. The seer’s camp looks like it’s been left in a hurry, with things scattered around. Keep going into the next part of the cave, and you’ll find the seer’s body hidden between some rocks.

Once you’ve found him, you can take any useful gear he has. But the main thing you need is Morrigan’s Head, don’t leave without it. As soon as you pick up Morrigan’s Head, a trap is triggered. A Banshee shows up to protect the artefact, and it starts summoning creatures to stop you.

Don’t worry too much about those summoned creatures; they’re weak and will vanish once you take down the Banshee. The Banshee isn’t picky about who it attacks. Its only goal is to keep Morrigan’s Head from falling into the wrong hands. The good news is that the cave is open enough for you to move around and fight without feeling trapped.

If you’re struggling, try pushing the Banshee toward the rocks; it’ll make the fight a bit easier. Use your strongest skills, defeat the Banshee, and grab whatever loot it leaves behind. Then, head back to Self with Morrigan’s Head to finish the quest and secure your place among the Crow’s Fledglings.
