Heal Loyza in KCD2 The Devil’s Pack Quest

In Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Heal Loyza from The Devil’s Pack quest provides players with a nice but optional task that has an influence on their experience. Loyza, the auxiliary blacksmith at Miskowitz, is injured and needs treatment. Though not a necessary part of the quest to cure him, it is a safe means of advancement and one that serves to improve the immersion mechanics of the game. Out of either ethics or expediency, helping Loyza is a small but significant choice that can inform the player’s experience of The Devil’s Pack.

    The Devil’s Pack Quest

The Devil’s Pack is an intense main quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 that plunges players into a realm of betrayal, survival, and difficult decisions. It starts off at Devil’s Den after ambushing a convoy carrying the notorious Dry Devil.

With his leader liberated, the quest is to bring together his dispersed gang, Matthew, Ranyek, Bohuta, Janosh Uher, and Adder, all with their own history and demons. Throughout the journey, players have to survive intense battles, cunning negotiations, and ethical choices that determine the direction of the quest.

    Heal Loyza

During The Devil’s Pack main quest, you have the option to heal Loyza. To do this, first, examine his injuries. The quest text hints that he is the blacksmith’s assistant, making it easy to find him. Head to the blacksmith’s house in Miskowitz, where you will see Loyza resting on a bed while the smith’s wife, Martha, tends to him. Interact with Loyza to begin examining his injuries, which will trigger a dialogue sequence.

To properly diagnose Loyza’s condition, you will need a fairly high Craftsmanship skill, around level 9 or 10 should be enough. After examining him, Henry will essentially talk through the next steps, making it clear what needs to be done. The treatment involves cleaning and bandaging the wound, along with administering a healing potion to speed up recovery.

Once you have the necessary items, a bandage and a Marigold decoction, even a weak one will do, interact with Loyza again and choose the appropriate options. Other potions like a painkiller or Chamomile brew may also work. If you prefer to make your own, an alchemy guide can help. Additionally, you have the option to pray for Loyza, but this requires passing a speech check. Failing it won’t impact his recovery, so it’s entirely up to you.

That’s all it takes to heal Loyza. Once you’ve completed this optional step, you can return to the bailiff of Miskowitz and continue the main quest. While not mandatory, healing him provides a safer way to progress, making it well worth doing. However, it does lead to a choice that requires money. Fortunately, since this quest takes place in Kuttenberg, you have access to one of the best places to sell items. If you are low on Groschen, consider selling some loot.

    Tips

    • Before heading to Miskowitz, ensure you have a bandage and Marigold decoction in your inventory. It will save you time searching for supplies. If you don’t have a Marigold decoction, visit an apothecary or use an alchemy bench to craft one.
    • A Craftsmanship skill of at least 9-10 is recommended to properly diagnose Loyza’s injuries. If your skill is too low, consider practicing alchemy or repairing armor and weapons at a blacksmith before attempting the treatment.
    • If Marigold decoction is unavailable, Chamomile brew or a painkiller might work as substitutes. You can also pray for Loyza, but passing the speech check may require a high Speech skill. Failing it has no real consequences.
    • Healing Loyza might lead to a decision that requires Groschen. Since this quest takes place in Kuttenberg, take advantage of its merchant-rich environment to sell loot and earn extra money.
    • Although optional, healing him ensures a safer path forward in the quest. It also contributes to Henry’s reputation and potentially unlocks hidden interactions or rewards later in the game.
