In the Shipyard level of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, one of the goals is pulling off a Hardflip off the buoy. It might sound simple at first, but this challenge can be a bit confusing if you’re not sure what the game expects. This guide will walk you through the steps to complete the challenge.
Hardflip Off The Buoy in Shipyard
Shipyard is one of the levels in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4. It’s packed with cool spots to skate, like giant crates shaped like halfpipes, rooftops to trick off of, and floating barges to explore. From the starting line, you will find the buoy on the left side. Do a hardflip over the buoy to complete the goal. To perform a hardflip, press up-left and ‘X’ on your controller
First things first, if you check your trick list, you’ll see that the Hardflip is done by pressing diagonally left + square. You are not trying to Hardflip over or onto the buoy; you actually need to bounce off the buoy and then do the Hardflip in midair.
Here’s how to do it:
- Build up your special meter a bit first so you have enough speed and height.
- Head to the section where the buoy is floating. You will find it near the ramp across from the big ship.
- Grind the ramp leading to the buoy by pressing Triangle, then jump off (X) right as you reach the end.
- While in the air after bouncing off the buoy, perform the Hardflip (diagonally left + square).
It might take a few tries to get the timing right, but once you figure it out, you can do it easily.
