Tucked into a windswept terrace near St. Halssius, the Halssius Conflux ruins are a classic Ancient Ruins puzzle that rewards observation over brute force. The central angel statue projects a beam that points to the symbols you must align beneath a rotating grate; each phase expands the ring of symbols and demands careful Stab inputs to rotate the mechanism into place. Follow the light, reposition the grate for each round and buried Abyss Artifact will open its chamber – a satisfying, methodical reward for players who read the ruins instead of rushing them.
Halssius Conflux Ancient Ruins Location
Head to the above highlighted location shown on the map in the above picture which is south west to Demeniss and you’ll reach the Halssius Conflux Ancient Ruins. If you are having a problem to locate the exact location of the ruins, then look for a point of interest marker that appears on the map when you are nearby the ruins, head towards the marker and you’ll reach the ruins.
How does the puzzle mechanism work?
At the center of the puzzle, there’s a statue that emits light rays on the objects for each phase. You need to move the grate and reposition it on the marked symbols to advance into the next phase.
How to move the grate?
In order to move the grate, you’d have to use the Stab skill which is going to act as a lever once it pierces the grate’s pillar.
Phase 1
In Phase 1, there’s only one symbol the light is projected on and it looks like a quarter coin.
Head towards the left side and you’ll notice the symbol covered under a broken pillar. It’s recommended to move the pillar using Nature’s Grasp before moving the grate as it blocks the grate’s path.
Move the grate onto the symbol and pull back the sword, the symbol will glow and the sequence for the second phase gets activated. If the symbol doesn’t glow, then just adjust the grate’s position a little bit.
Phase 2
In Phase 2, we now have to align 3 symbols as shown in the above pictures, and you can find them right near the grate but to the right.
Move the grate to the right until the first symbol on the grate is Scales, then release the sword and the symbols will glow and the mechanism transitions into the third phase.
Phase 3
In Phase 3, along with the symbols from Phase 2, you now have 2 additional symbols and both of them are horses.
You can find the right combination just beside the grate’s position as depicted in the above image, move the grate a bit and pull back the weapon and voila, you have solved the puzzle.
