Green Energy Crystals are one of the key collectables you will come across in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and they play an important role in powering up Samus as you explore the world. Collecting and depositing them not only strengthens your weapons but also unlocks major upgrades, making your journey through the game more powerful.
Green Energy Crystals Locations
You will mostly come across Green Energy Crystals while exploring the open areas of Sol Valley. You can also find extra crystal clusters inside all six Shrines scattered around the region. On top of that, there are a few more hidden along the Jungle Path in Fury Green, so keep an eye out while exploring.
You will mostly find Green Energy Crystals around Sol Valley, especially near the Lamorn Shrines. It’s worth stopping by these shrines whenever you come across them, since they also provide useful upgrades for Samus’ weapons.
In Sol Valley, the crystals usually appear as small bundles in the ground. To collect them, simply drive over them using Vi-O-La’s boost or power slide. This breaks the crystal clusters and lets you pick up the Green Energy Crystals easily. Sol Valley is home to six different Shrines, and each one contains containers packed with Green Energy Crystals. To get the crystals, simply use your Missiles to break these containers and collect what’s inside.
Green Energy Crystals Rewards
When you turn in Green Energy Crystals at the Altar of Legacy in Fury Green, you will unlock different rewards as you hit certain milestones. At 25%, your Psychic Beam gets a small upgrade, firing a bit faster and dealing more damage to enemies. At 50%, your Control Beam is improved. You will be able to hold L or B to charge it up, letting the beam move much faster than before.
Once you reach around 75%, you will receive a radar upgrade. This makes finding the remaining crystals much easier, as their locations will show up as green dots on your radar while you explore. Finally, at 100%, after collecting nearly all the Green Energy Crystals, you will earn the Memory Fruit. This automatically upgrades your Vi-O-La Suit into the powerful Legacy Suit.
